I have a passion for anything that is beautiful. This
ranges from things that are aesthetically pleasing to
those that are scandalously clever. I started out by
sketching the life around me but soon realized that
sketches pertain to the category of small-scale beauty.
Rarely does the beauty of a singular sketch impact a
great deal of people. I wanted something large-scale,
something that masses would marvel at in years to come.
That is why I have developed a great interest in becoming
an architect.
When approached with a design challenge and given certain
limitations, I like to use those limitations to aid
my creativity. I find twisted ways to work around them.
Therefore, the most challenging part of the process
is not the specifics, but rather the main theme. When
choosing a theme I aim to incorporate the surreal. After
all, reality sets too many boundaries.
The project that I am currently working on involves
completely redesigning the façade of the MoMA so as
to make it more inviting to a diverse public. Since
I have been frequenting the museum I have grown more
critical of its outward appearance. This has resulted
in many unusual ideas swirling around in my head making
it difficult to decide on which is the most practical
and yet eccentric one. |
