At the age of 15, I was given the opportunity to be
a part of MoMa's In the Making program. From the very
beginning every project was hands on. Clueless on printmaking,
being able to learn this different field of art was
very interesting. From carving lino-block, Xerox transferring
to stenciling I have found it to be an eye-opening experience.
When creating my pieces I try to come out of my boundaries
by exploring the many paint colors and becoming as messy
and creative with my work. I've learned that with printmaking
you have to think outside of the canvas. Being able
to work in this printmaking class has made me want to
possibly pursue a career in this field.
Students reflect on what they’ve learned, review films, critique
architecture, and interview artists.
