Somtimes a simple image has more things to say than words in a lengthy paragraph explaining what the artist's intention is. In my work I used icons to convey the theme—relationship in which the two are vital to each other—in a simple way. When I saw Felix Gonzalez-Torres's work "Untitled" (Perfect Lovers), I was impressed that just how this simple subject—the same two clocks put together—can be explicit in conveying the meaning and deeply convincing at the same time. I like to represent things as they are so the viewers accept them as they are and still have clear interpretations of their own.
