Design is all about how one perceives something. Well-designed products emit a sense of value, simplicity, and sometimes, even elegance. This was the definition that I walked into my design class with, and since, have learned not only the "what," but the "why" as well. Why is it that our eyes gravitate to a certain part of the page or why two completely different objects work so similarly. It’s not only about giving the form more attention then the function, but using the form to attribute to the function of what you’re creating. Not only have I learned that design can be applied to products, but things such as websites need to be designed properly; how intuitive and easy to use is taken into account when making sites. MoMA showed me how much design applies to more than just one aspect of our daily lives.
Students reflect on what they’ve learned, review films, critique
