As an art loving high school student, I entered the In The Making at MoMA with enthusiasm and great expectations. Reflecting back on all the work I did this summer, I would have to say that this program was really worth my summer and the experience I had was incredible. As a participant of the design class, I learned the basic principles of design, such as, unity, balance, rhythm, and emphasis. I can now look at a piece of artwork and analyze how the different principles were used in a piece of artwork. However, design is not only seen the art world; it's everywhere. Looking around in my surroundings, I realized how important design really is because without it, the world would not have been able to pull out of the prehistoric period. |
